    Troll Teeth:

Yes, seriously Trolls have teeth which grow in throughout their lives. This was made clear in the very first books and it has never been contradicted.

Trolls can have their tusks removed with extensive dental work because the actual tooth buds have to be removed. If it didn't require the jaw bone to be drilled out it would hardly be "extensive" - it would just be tooth yanking.

I'm all for being true to the SR universe. Lets be clear, what we have going on here is super creative and completely pulled out of our asses. So lets not get to bogged down in the details. FTS is based on Shadowrun, has allot Shadowrun elements, but if it was decided that Seattle was blown off the map tomorrow, that's how it would be. So cut Mike and Joe some slack, the two of them are doing a hell of a job creating an interesting experience. Keep in mind that Mike and Joe are allowing the rest of us to take part.

Oh, for sure I want to be cannonical, tho at the same time, part of what makes this great is that some of the guys from Dumpshock and other places are like walking SR encyclopedias. I want to learn everything I can as long as we don't go from a role-playing thing to a rules blog... which Dumpshock already is WAY better at.

(OOC: SR2, p. 38 - Trolls continuously grow teeth throughout their lives).

Chun the Unavoidable = Frank Trollman?
    Joe Veen said...
Hey, I have that book. :)

    > Chun the Unavoidable = Frank Trollman?

Yes. Chun's only canon appearance in a Shadowrun book is in the intro story to the Advanced Medtech chapter - he's the unconcious magician that Tani and Orthus are dragging around. The doctor is Dr. Swayne.

    Which book is that from?

    Re: Spicy Metagirl

I really liked the style for the Spicy Metagirl post.

It was the tattoos. A small detail, but it made the entire thing.

    Good work

I'm sure I can also speak for Underhill on this when I say, thank you & I really appreciate the comment.

Tim's amazing, isn't he? He seriously like whipped that out very quickly too. Joe's been telling me about the stuff that Tim Keller and Mike Hay work on for like... over a decade, and I've watched as they create online comics and websites, It's fun to get to know them better, but I've never met them IRL. I need to make a road trip to SD to buy 'em a beer or twelve.

That's not completely true Mr. Underhill.
We met once, about ten years ago. It was my second year of college, at my apartment in Alexandria, MN.
Very, very briefly you and Joe were off to do something, I going to guess commit a crime or plot the over throw of the government er something like that
    Mike Underhill said...
That's crazy! I think I remember that, tho now that you say it!

P.S. I've asked Jenny Romanchuk from online comic "The Zombie Hunters" to do a guest illustration for the St. James Cathedral location, a zombie Nun in a Habit, cross your fingers that she'll accept.
    CanRay said...
OK, guys, what the heck *IS* NERPS, anyhow?
    Anonymous said...
    HOLY SHIT, Jenny Romanchuk (Ashwings)...
    that would be freaken sweet!
    Anonymous said...
    Again... HOLY SHIT, Jenny Romanchuk!
    Please God...

Mike, do you know Jenny? or are you just throwing it out there?

    Tim, calm down...

    HOLY SHIT, Jenny Romanchuk!

Canray: NERPS is Net Enhanced Role-Playing for Shadowrun. That's us.
    Mike Underhill said...
Joe: no I don't "know" Jenny, but I admire her artwork, am a fan, and asked nicely.
    Mike Underhill said...
    Tim: LOL
    CanRay said...
Mike: Ah, I have seen those, but thought it was an in-game advertisement for something else.
    CanRay said...
    Found it.

    Mike Underhill said...
Yah, NERPS basically is a term for "nice goods", has been used in conjunction with fansites and even like SR t-shirts. It's as generic as "chummer".
    Mike Underhill said...
So, no response from Jenny... I'm guessing she's too busy.

    No Jenny Romanchuk?
Sniffle... I must have something in my eye.

Great job on all the NPC listings, Joe: they were starting to boggle my mind but now they make sense!

I really gotta write up mine.

    Re: Cindah

Sorry to nitpick, but shouldn't SIM be SIN?

p.s. I need to write up Waterloo also, particularly given I'm a complete stranger here.

And thank you for running this site, its fantastic.

    Good catch Hugo!

Mike, I already made the change.
    Mike Underhill said...
You're right, I'm a tard. Excuse the mispost.
    Mike Underhill said...
Hugo: you're very much welcome here, thanks for the great insight, it's my goal to purposely write extremely open-ended material with alot of possiblities as to what's truly going on in the backgroud, so yah, you're right, Spirits as voters? Dubious, but then everyone should ask... well, who summoned it, who's bidding is it doing... where is it from... is it really here of it's own accord and why would MNN take such a note of it and single it out... the stories are really meant to get people talking, and so far it's worked pretty well.
    Mike Underhill said...
    Canray: DO IT!

You can either email it to me(see my profile) or Joe, we'll get it up there in short order, and thanks for following the story and your continuing interest.

Mike: Nice job on the MNN reports... perfect!
That's exactly what I was thinking.

    I've actually started writing again.

Going to see about posting some of it when I get it the way I like it. Already got a Blogger account ready for it.

I'll link to it when I get done. Start with a bit on the character I've been portraying here (Which has been over a year in development) and see where I go from there.
    Mike Underhill said...
Joe, could we do a banner or link trade with Bario Billy on FTS and his site?

    Barrio Billy said...
I'd be more than happy to do a banner exchange if you guys want. :)

    WOOT!

Jenny got back to me today, and is doing the illustration, it's zombie nuns!
    Anonymous said...
Ya, I had to whore myself out, but she's on board.
I sweetened the pot by offering her my art skills.
Kind of a art trade. You are all welcome!
    Mike Underhill said...
LOL, is that why she got back to me? You dog. Ima hug you.
    Anonymous said...
I think she was going to do it anyway,
I just put it over the top!

Zombie Nuns make everything better! :-D

There, got a few things written and typed out.

    I don't feel so bad now. :-P

    Just got Augmentation!

    Excellent read, highly suggested!
    Joe Veen said...
Got a copy of Augmentation waiting for me at the Source now.

Note to my players - I'm only buying one copy of this book. You may want to buy your own.
    CanRay said...
    I'll double Joe's statement.

This is going to be one of those "Must Buy" books!

Only downside to it is the cover art. And that's a minor complaint.

LOL! I think we all got a little busy with day to day stuff for awhile there.

My campaign is starting back up this Sunday, so new stuff is coming. :D

Figured it'd be something like that.

But just wanted to be sure. :-P

Well... At long last, I finally got to play a good game of Shadowrun! :-D

    Gangers versus Ant Spirits!

Gangers win due to Yak contacts with a lot of bug killer, some hand grenades, and a Gang Moll willing to lure the bugs away with a bag full of candy!
